Genshin Impact – This is how the Dendro element will work: HoYoverse reveals the first details
The wait from the release of Genshin Impact until the Dendro element is finally introduced in a playable way in the video game will be almost two years. However, it is finally about to end. HoYoverse is gearing up for the release of Sumeru and has already started teasing the new region that will be added to the game with the arrival of Update 3.0. A hype train that has started with the presentation of the new element and its synergies with the rest of the existing magical effects in the video game.
First details of the Dendro element
Characters with the Dendro element will only have synergy with Electro, Pyro, or Hydro. HoYoverse’s intent with this new category of heroes is for them to act as catalysts. His vision isn’t too powerful on its own, nor does it have a large number of combinations, but it shines when we use it to fit the right pieces together. In this way, it is almost certain that they will have a prominent place in many teams and that they will change the distribution of any Tier List that we have used until now.
Full details of elemental combinations featuring Dendro as one of their protagonists have yet to be revealed, but here’s what we know so far…
- Dendro + Electro : Applies the Catalyst effect. We know for a fact that it increases the recharge of energy, and it also probably increases the damage that both elements deal.
- Dendro + Hydro : Applies the Blossom effect. Create a fruit-shaped particle that deals damage to enemies with your next attack. Depending on the element with which it detonates, its reaction is different. Does not deal damage to our characters.
- Dendro + Pyro : Applies the Burnt effect. Its operation will be similar to what we know, inflicting damage over time to the affected enemies and setting the combat area on fire.
In addition to these details, the developers of Genshin Impact have also wanted to share some details of the functioning of the world of Sumeru. It has been revealed, for example, that monsters will change shape when affected by different Hydro, Pyro or Electro elements and that there will be elements on the map that will also react to each of the vision types. So far they have not wanted to offer more details, but there will be new combat and exploration mechanics that will give the game some freshness. Together with the continuity in the story or our desire to meet the new characters, it is an exciting cocktail that promises to return the title to its best moment.
