Witcher 3 Finally Confirms Release Date on PS5 and Xbox Series
It has made us suffer, but Geralt de Rivia and the company have finally confirmed the launch window for its arrival on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S, in an improved version that has been announced for some time. To celebrate the seventh anniversary of the release of The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, CD Projekt RED has confirmed that this update will arrive this year.
They do not give more details or a specific date, only that it will arrive in the last quarter of 2022, so we will wait for its arrival between September and December. There is very little left to go hunting again and check everything this new version includes.
There were doubts that it would arrive this year since the Polish studio had announced a delay in the publication of the game, but after having released the version of Cyberpunk 2077, it seems that the batteries have been put on. We have to wait to see it in motion and see firsthand what the update will offer.

Players who already own the game on PS4, Xbox One, and PC will be able to upgrade to this Complete Edition utterly free of charge, which is a more than acceptable way to relive the epic adventures of Geralt of Rivia. All the original game’s content will be included, including its two magnificent expansions, new content not yet revealed, and graphical and technical improvements – such as the inclusion of ray-tracing and reduced load times – that the new consoles allow.
A few weeks ago, we also learned that The Witcher 4 is in development and that it will have a different protagonist than the White Wolf. In addition to confirming that it is currently and officially under development, it is being built using the Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine, which we have already been able to see in action and with a good response from developers and designers thanks to the creative facilities it offers. In writing, they specify that we will notice the impact of the new engine in its open world.
