In a surprise announcement, Respawn Entertainment revealed the release date of season 6 of Apex Legends. It is available for players on Tuesday, August 18. Respawn shared the news via a launch trailer where we also see the next legend reaching the game called Rampart, an expert modder. The name of the season is Boosted, which is probably due to the apparent capacity of Rampart to modify the old objects and the new manufacturing system.

We can expect a variety of neon skins, given what we have seen in the launch trailer. Beyond what we have seen in the trailer, we have not received much more information and we have learned nothing about Rampart’s capacities or the way she will play. Thye was allegedly revealed a month ago by dataminers, but the author of Apex Legends Tom Casiello said on Twitter that the information revealed was old. Respawn will probably share the functioning of Rampart capacities a week before the launch of season 6.

Players can also expect the arrival of a new craft system in season 6 which takes place during a match. This gives players the opportunity to walk in the game, to collect materials and then make objects they can use to survive. We will learn more about how this manufacturing system changes the dynamics of a match and its advantages for a player.
