In the current beta version of WhatsApp, developers have found some hints on another community feature that may be able to create in the messenger. Several strings in the data of the app so far only provide a few details around the function. For example, founder of a community can invite other members to the conversation using a link or QR codes. Each community has again received admins, the additional functions – compared to the participants.

Among other things, administrators can change the description of the community or make sure that only admins may write in the chat. All rights and functions can also be transferred to other participants. In the core, the new community feature so far differs little from the already existing groups, which can be founded in WhatsApp. Decisive details that distinguish the functions from each other may soon follow – if WhatsApp decides for the feature.

Last week, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram had to fight with massive disorders. Meanwhile, those responsible have also supplied a justification for the blackout.
