Battlefield 2042 Open beta still has to be without cross play

Yesterday, the official date for the Open Beta was announced, to which we have already prepared for all sorts of detailed information in this message.

As already known, Battlefield 2042 will support cross-play. Players can play on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5 and PC with each other. For Xbox One and PlayStation 4 there will also be cross-play.

While Cross-Play Parties will be possible to launch Battlefield 2042, the Open Beta still renounces this feature, as a spokesman for Electronic Arts against Screen Rant confirms:

While cross-play is technically enabled in the Open Beta, cross-play parties will be disabled, which means that friends on different platforms will not be able to merge into squads and play together. However, it will be possible for the launch.

Gen 5 and PC will be able to play together in the same cross-play universe. Gen 4 can play together in the same cross-play universe.
