After long negotiations Kaprizov stays in St Paul

For a long time, the negotiations between Kirill Kaprizov (24) and Minnesota were in length, in the meantime, it was even said that the Russian would prefer to play at another NHL location – or even in his homeland Russia in the KHL. But in the end, General Manager Bill Guerin and the highly assisted wild top scorer of the last season were still together.

Kaprizov signed a new five-year contract on Tuesday evening (local time), which is doped with nine million US dollars per season. The outer storm promotes with one of the best-paid players of the NHL. Kaprizov had come in his first season in North America to a total of 29 goals and 25 templates in 62 games and won the Calder Trophy as the best league newcomer.

Dahlin and Thomas sign

Also a contract extension reported the Buffalo Sabers and the St. Louis Blues. While the Sabers, in which the German international John-Jason Peterka takes a start at his first NHL games in the coming season, extended with Jungtar Rasmus Dahlin for three years. The 21-year-old Swedish defender will receive six million dollars per season.

In the blues in turn, midstormer Robert Thomas signed (also 21) for two years (annual salary: $ 2.8 million).
