PlayStation 5 RIFTS of Ratchet Clank would even be possible on PS3
Industry Veteran and Traveler’s Tales Founder Jon Burton has the allegations of developers Insomniac Games, the Rifts from Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart are only possible by the SSD of the PlayStation 5, called misleading.
Although he does not assert that the Sony console does not use the SSD for RIFT technology, but it is not necessary to be necessary. According to Burton, the portal travel mechanics is not so expensive, as suggested before the publication of insomniac and usually involves stocks only from intermediate sequences or sections with strongly limited gameplay.
In the new video on his YouTube channel, Burton explains the RIFT mechanics in detail and lays the way the RIFTs would have been possible on older hardware, such as a PlayStation 4 or even PlayStation 3.
At the end of the video, he demonstrates his designs based on a section designed for LEGO Star Wars III with two separate gameplay phases that run at the same time.
